Logically continues international expansion with executive hire for India.

Logically has appointed Sagar Kaul as VP of India Operations. Mr. Kaul brings extensive experience in operations and business development to the Logically management team.

The hire signals the company’s rapid growth, and is the latest step in its strategy to help governments, social media platforms and consumers in India and Asia debunk harmful misinformation and deliberate disinformation through a combination of artificial and human intelligence.

Kaul brings nearly 16 years of experience in business development, operations, editorial and expertise in the area of disinformation, fact checking and threat analysis. He will be central to the company’s growth plans in India as well as helping the company’s expansion into other Asian markets. He joins Logically after four years of leading an India-based company, Metafact, that worked to build and disseminate an AI tool for tackling misinformation within the country. Kaul has a strong understanding of the Asian landscape and will bring that expertise with him in leading Logically’s strategic plans for the region.

Logically has been steadily building its operations in India since 2017 where the company has tripled in size in the last two years. In addition to its two offices in Karnataka, the company worked on the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections in which the company analysed nearly one million articles and identified both state and non-state actors who were trying to influence the election outcomes through disinformation campaigns. More recently it has also been supporting government authorities to surface and debunk misinformation related to Covid-19. In 2020, Logically won recognition by the Government of India in the AatmaNirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge for the most innovative news app in India.
