The state-of-the-art jets are designed and built by Dassault Aviation in France. The specification page shows that the aircraft can reach almost double the speed of sound, with a top speed of 1.8 Mach(612.52m/s approx.) in terms of performance with a service ceiling of 50,000 ft. It can strike air-to-air targets from up to 150 km away and safely hit land targets 300 km within enemy territory. The speed of the sound in air is about 1 Mach (340m/s approx).
