People started reacting to these allegations after the report was widely circulated on social media and also started an online campaign to deactivate their Facebook accounts.

Reacting to these allegations, a Facebook spokesperson clarified that it prohibits hate speech and content that incites violence and also enforces policies regardless of anyone's political position or party affiliation globally.
