Sadiq, Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Netherlands has stated that on 21 April 2019 the Easter Sunday, three churches in Colombo, Negombo and Batticaloa, and three luxury hotels in the Colombo were targeted by the suicide bombers in which more than 250 people including 45 foreigners were killed and 400 people were wounded (Refer PAge No:1).

A press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the response to a joint statement issued by the United Nation and Sri Lankan Government denoted that in 2019 Sri Lanka easter bombings 250 people including 45 foreign visitors to Sri Lanka were killed.
