The 10-second video is from Feb 20, when Merkel went back to her seat after responding to the lawmakers on the COVID-19 and realized that she had forgotten her mask on the podium. She could then be seen rushing back to the podium to get her mask. The video was also shared by Reuters on Twitter with a caption- ‘German Chancellor Angela Merkel panics after forgetting her face mask.’

A video was viewed several times, and several people also praised Merkel for “leading by example.”
