A video shows dead bodies left on the streets of Wuhan, China after the coronavirus outbreak.

A YouTube video by Magnifying Glass and a press release by the Foreign Affairs Office of Shenzhen disproves the statement.

A YouTube video by Magnifying Glass and a press release by the Foreign Affairs Office of Shenzhen disproves the statement.A video has been circulated in multiple posts on social media which claims to be showing the dead bodies on the streets in the Chinese city of Wuhan after the novel coronavirus outbreak.

A video uploaded by Magnifying Glass on their YouTube had stated that due to new coronavirus, the Shenzhen government had implemented a permit system, and many people slept on the streets overnight.

The Foreign Affairs Office of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government in a press release states that the government announced on 8 February 2020, that people would require permits to enter and exit the residential areas in the city, to prevent the coronavirus spread. So, people from outside the city had slept on the streets overnight.

Therefore, the viral video shows people sleeping rough in the Chinese city of Shenzhen.
