Federal officials have taken safety protocols to safeguard Ghislaine Maxwell over fears that someone might try to kill her and is being moved around.Ghislaine Maxwell, a 58-year British socialite, is reportedly being moved from one cell to another, fearing that she might kill herself or be assassinated in prison before her trial. The Justice Department implemented additional safety protocols, and federal officials were deployed outside the Bureau of Prisons to ensure adequate protection and prison protocols were followed. She was forced to wear paper clothes and sleep on a bare mattress to avoid hanging herself from her clothes or bedsheets as Jeffery Epstein had.
Maxwell is facing four counts of sex trafficking and two counts of perjury. She was transferred to the facility after her arrest in a New Hampshire hideaway.
