Taapsee Pannu and other celebrities have complained about unusually pricey electricity bills in Mumbai during the lockdown.Actress Taapsee Pannu expressed shock via Twitter on June 28, 2020, where she posted pictures of her electricity bills from April to June, comparing the considerable amount difference. The bills amounts being Rs 4,390 for April, Rs 3,850 for May, and 36,000 for June.

Two days later, Maharashtra Chief Minister acknowledged the rising number of consumer complaints related to exorbitant electricity bills in the state.
