Pune Zilla Parishad has issued second notification for 1,120 vacancies for the post of health workers.The number of coronavirus cases is on the rise with a surge in districts of Pune, Thane, and Aurangabad in Maharashtra. The Pune civic body has been facing a shortage of specialists to treat the severely ill patients, and plans are afoot to rope in additional staff to deal with rising Covid-19 cases.

The Pune Zilla Parishad under the Govt. of Maharashtra has invited applications for recruitment to the post of Medical Officer, Staff Nurse, Health Worker, Data Entry Operator, and others to tackle the situation. The application process started on August 9, 2020, and closes on August 16, 2020. Earlier the administration was able to fill 410 vacancies out of 1,489 jobs advertised.
