Some messages started circulating on social media claiming that Rhea had fled to Canada in a private Jet, which is not true.

Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty reached the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Mumbai on August 7. Rhea's advocate Satish Manshinde, in a statement, said that the actress has requested to postpone the recording of her statement till the Supreme Court hearing.
