LDF candidate has hidden information regarding his Pakistani wife in nomination papers.

United Democratic Front alleged that K.P.Sulaiman Haji's second wife is a Pakistani national and lives abroad, but there is no evidence to confirm it.

United Democratic Front alleged that K.P.Sulaiman Haji's second wife is a Pakistani national and lives abroad, but there is no evidence to confirm it.The United Democratic Front (UDF) alleged that Kondotty Left Democratic Front's (LDF) candidate Kattuparuthy Sulaiman Haji did not furnish details about his Pakistani wife in the nomination papers. In the space allocated to write the spouse's name, Haji had written 'not applicable.' The media reports that the returning officer had not accepted his nomination on March 22 at 3 pm after UDF raised a complaint. Manorama reports that after the argument between the two parties, the nominees' papers were accepted.

The UDF submitted evidence of his wedding with a Pakistani girl that was held in Dubai. The Asianet News reports they also produced marriage certificates. However, the evidence is not publicly available to verify the authenticity of it. It is alleged that his second wife is Hira Muhammed Safdar of Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The LDF declares that the accusations are baseless.

On Twitter, Muraleedharan, the current Union Minister of State for External Affairs & Parliamentary Affairs, posted two images and demanded an explanation from Haji for concealing the details of the Pakistani second wife. In the first picture, Haji is seated while a woman stands; this image is claimed to show he was married, and the second image of Hira's passport shows her birthplace as Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Though they appear to be posing together in a snap, there is no evidence to prove that Haji married Hira.

Since there is no evidence that Haji married a Pakistani woman, whether he has failed to disclose such information in nomination papers cannot be verified.
