Admission to MBBS colleges in India is based on the score you get on the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) examination.All Medical colleges follow eligibility criteria described by their affiliated university for MBBS admission in India. However, in general terms the candidates seeking admission to a medical college should have passed Senior Secondary Examination of CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) or its equivalent(State board syllabus) with physics, chemistry, and Biology.

Admission to MBBS colleges in India is based on the score you get on the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) examination. Marks obtained in the NEET examinations are conducted at the central level(All State-level medical entrance exams are replaced by one common central entrance examination). For AIIMS and JIPMER medical colleges, there used to be separate entrance examination, but from 2020, NEET is the only entrance exam to join central government-run medical institutions like AIIMS and JIPMER. Minimum 50 percent marks in Senior Secondary Examination or Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent to Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany and Zoology).
