The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on 19 August 2020 announced that Dream 11 would be the new title sponsor for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Dream11 is partnering with a total of 19 sports leagues and six IPL franchises. IPL chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed that BCCI would receive Rs 222 crore from the new title sponsor. The move came after the cricket board recently suspended its title sponsorship deal with Vivo, the Chinese mobile manufacturer, who had signed an agreement in 2018 for five years.
