Archaeologists have not found any Nataraja idol in Keeladi village during the excavation.Keeladi is a protected archaeological site. Three rounds of the excavation in Keeladi village has thrown up substantial clues about the existence of a Tamil civilization that had trade links with other regions in the country. The findings have led academics to describe the site as part of the Vaigai Valley Civilisation. The results have also invited comparisons with the Indus Valley Civilisation. Amidst all the findings, archaeologists have found no sign of worship, religion, or god indicating and Keeladi being a secular society. Keeladi has not revealed any signs of religious worship in all five rounds of excavation.
