Yediyurappa's statement confirms that he has agreed in principle to reopen the hotels from 1 June but needs permission from the central government.CM Yediyurappa said he received a memorandum from the Bangalore Hoteliers’ Association, to reopen the hotels but the Union home ministry’s guidelines do not permit the sector to reopen till May 31. He added that he will recommend to the Centre to allow hotels to reopen from June 1 after following guidelines to contain the spread of the Covid-19. The CM also said that outsiders will need food, and hence he is making efforts in that regard.
