It added that the images were taken from 1 to 8 March 2020, which shows that Iran has expanded the Behesht-e Masoumeh cemetery. The Washington Post and The Guardian also published the satellite images of recently added graves in the cemetery in the city of Qom. The Washington Post also stated that, according to the experts and official statements, the graves were dug to accommodate the rising number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Iran.
