The footage was taken in early March.A video showing a large crowd at the uShaka Marine World’s adult swimming pool section dancing to a prominent local song and shouting corona went viral on social media. The uShaka manager, Mpume Mabuza, stated that the video was taken in March while celebrating a prominent festival at the park before the President’s address to the nation on March 15. He further said that the management had taken precautionary measures that are put in place to ensure that the park operates in a healthy environment. The number of activities at the park in Durban has been temporarily closed, as part of measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
