Modi has held one press conference since becoming Prime Minister. However, most of the questions from that conference were answered by Amit Shah.
However, ahead of the 2019 general elections, PM Modi took part in a press meet at the BJP headquarters. The press conference was covered widely by the media. Modi talked about the election campaign but did not accept any questions from the reporters. The then BJP Chief and current Home Minister Amit Shah answered most of the questions. Modi called himself a "disciplined soldier" of the party and wouldn't speak in front of the party president.
We mark the claim as Partly True as only Amit Shah replied to all the questions, whereas Modi chose to remain silent during the entire press conference apart from the opening remarks he made.
