Dilip Ghosh threatened to shoot those involved in damaging public property in the state of West BengalThe passage of the Citizenship Act witnessed a row of violent protests across the nation, including West Bengal. Indian Railways had said that property worth Rs 90 crores were lost in the ten-day-long protests. Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh, while addressing a public meeting in Nadia district of West Bengal, referred to the extent of damage and issued a threat that they would shoot people involved in arson and damaging the public property in the state. He accused Mamata Banerjee of not taking any action against rioters due to vote bank politics. He said that the BJP government in Assam and Uttar Pradesh had taken strict action against those miscreants and had done the right thing by open-firing on the anti-national elements.
