He won in Michigan by more than 10,000 votes against Hillary Clinton. He gained about 44,000 more votes than Clinton in Pennsylvania. He received about 22,700 more votes than Clinton in Wisconsin.
The term Rust Belt is used to mention a region in the U.S., where the industries had left due to the economic decline, population loss, and urban decay. The region was the industrial area that contained large and densely populated urban areas. The industrial decay wiped out the well-paid and benefit-laden blue-collar jobs in the region.
