A little girl was caught on tape firing a machine gun for the NRF in Panjshir, Northern Afghanistan, fighting the Taliban.

On 6th September the Taliban claimed victory over the Panjshir valley where the resistance forces have been fighting against the Taliban. But resistance fighters have said they are still in control of the entire area. Amid this, a video surfaced on social media with a small girl firing a machine gun claiming that children in Panjshir have taken up arms against the Taliban.

Using reverse image search, we found the same video on YouTube published on 26 January 2020. Although we could not determine the definitive source and location of the video, it is not from the Panjshir valley. Users also noted that people in the background were speaking in Baloch. The video has been in circulation since 2020 and is nowhere related to the recent crisis in Afghanistan. Hence we mark the claim as false.
