The COMEDK UGET exam was successfully conducted on August 19, and the image claiming that 57 students who attended it died of COVID-19 is fake. An image of what appears to be a News18 article went viral on social media. The article claims that 57 out of 5,370 students died of COVID-19 infection after attending the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK)'s Undergraduate Entrance Test.

News18 has not published any article claiming the same on any platform.

The exam admit-cards were released on its official website, and the exam took place in two shifts. The first shift was from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the second shift was from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The provisional answer key of the test was released on August 23, 2020.
