The article claims that 57 out of 5,370 students died of COVID-19 infection after attending the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK)'s Undergraduate Entrance Test.

The exam admit-cards were released on its official website, and the exam took place in two shifts. The first shift was from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the second shift was from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The provisional answer key of the test was released on August 23, 2020.
