There is insufficient evidence to prove that the 24-carat gold prices had increased on 26 March 2020.An article published by The Hans India states that the gold price had increased due to coronavirus outbreak, in Hyderabad there was an increase by Rs 1010 to Rs. 44,630 for 10 grams on 26 Mach 2020.

As per The Quint report, the golds rates in Hyderabad depends on the global gold rates, which were affected by many international factors including inflation. The 24-carat gold rate for 10 gram in Hyderabad is Rs 43,630 as of 25 March 2020 and Rs 44,500 as of 26 March 2020 which shows that gold rate had increased in one day is Rs. 870. The report also states that the silver prices had fallen by about 1.53 per cent to Rs 41,067 per kg.

However, there are no official sources to prove that the Gold and Silver prices had increased on 26 March 2020.
