A COVID-19 positive Thai man spat on a stranger while buying a train ticket, and died during the journey.

The director of the State Railway of Thailand has said that the stranger who was spat on, who coordinated with the railway police, was not to be found.

The article published by Thai news website The Nation on 3 April 2020 stated that a man who had returned from India had died while travelling on a train. The State Railway of Thailand announced it had disinfected and cleaned the train thoroughly. Eight train staff were ordered to stay at home for 14 days of self-quarantine.
