Suvendu reiterated his party's slogan 'BJP Hatao, Desh Bachao' during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Suvendu Adhikari is an Indian politician and a former minister of West Bengal. He recently resigned from the All India Trinamool Congress & joined Bharatiya Janata Party. He joined the party with his supporters in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Suvendu spoke on occasion and tried to explain his political stance change by saying that he had earlier raised slogans against BJP because he was a loyal member of TMC and whatever he did was concerning to the party. He further said that he sincerely worked wherever he was. He asserted that he was not a traitor but a sincere servant of West Bengal.
