
A 20-year woman accused four men including a BJP leader of gang-rape. BJP condemned the incident and expelled the accused.
The ASP disclosed that the survivor was forced to drink liquor at the farmhouse before being gang-raped for two consecutive days. On February 20, she was found in an unconscious state after being dumped near her house by the accused. The survivor filed a complaint on the following day, February 21. She remains critical at a district hospital.
As reported by the police, the four accused have been identified as Jaitpur Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Vijay Tripathi, a school teacher, Rajesh Shukla, and two natives, Munna Singh and Monu Maharaj. Although a first information report has been filed, the four men remain absconding. Political party BJP condemned the alleged incident and issued a statement stating Vijay Tripathi's removal from Jaitpur BJP chief and party membership.
