Bharatiya Janata Party politician Chander Prakash Kathuria from Haryana was injured when he fell from the second floor of a building in Chandigarh.The footage used by media outlets shows that the former Chairman of the Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills Ltd. had fallen on the ground and had injured his foot trying to get down from the second-floor balcony of a flat in Chandigarh. He was allegedly visiting a woman at the time, and he tried to flee using a cloth to get down when someone was at the door on May 22, 2020.

Two days later, the Haryana BJP suspended Kathuria from the party's primary membership for six years based on the video.
