During the October sales in India, more people shopped on Flipkart than on Amazon.

There is no sufficient credible data to indicate Flipkart's and Amazon's overall sales in India in October 2020 during the festive season.

There is no sufficient credible data to indicate Flipkart's and Amazon's overall sales in India in October 2020 during the festive season. RedSeer consulting claims that Flipkart leads over Amazon in the first week of the festival season online. According to the RedSeer report, the combined sales on Flipkart Group and Amazon accounted for more than 90% of the e-commerce industry’s gross sales during October 16-21,2020. Flipkart sold 68% of goods among the two e-commerce companies during the week-long period.

"We cannot comment on speculative reports without transparent methodology," an Amazon India spokesperson said in an emailed response to Economic Times.

However, based on one report, it cannot be ascertained whether the sale had increased in the first week of October 2020. Besides the report by RedSeer, there is no additional data to verify the rise of Flipkart's online sales throughout the festive season in October 2020.
