Judd Apatow is directing a comedy movie about the pandemic for Netflix.

Apatow’s direction includes The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Funny People, Trainwreck, The King of Staten Island, and The Zen Diaries Of Garry Shandling. He produced and developed the television series and feature films such as Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Funny or Die Presents, Girls, Love, Crashing, and The Cable Guy.

Apatow is planning to develop a pandemic comedy piece. Netflix will be the platform featuring the film. Apatow will direct and co-write the script with South Park writer Pam Brady. He will partner with Barry Mendel, who will executive produce the project via Apatow Productions. The cast is yet to be announced. According to Netflix, the film follows a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a film.
