Mark Zuckerberg said that Facebook had launched the COVID-19 Information Center to avoid misinformation on the disease, but it will not ban accounts.In an exclusive interview with ABC News' chief anchor, George Stephanopoulos, Mark Zuckerberg explained how Facebook planned to track COVID-19 information on its platform and protect people around the world from misinformation. He said that the social media site would monitor and flag posts for malicious misinformation about the disease, including pages that are used to organize protests that defy social distancing guidelines. Also, they will continue focusing on the most effective ways to keep misinformation and hoaxes about COVID-19 off from the platform and ensure people have credible information from health experts. But, he did not say that Facebook will ban the accounts of lockdown protesters but it will remove misinformation about the pandemic from the platform.
