There is insufficient credible evidence available to confirm whether the Mumbai might restart the local trains service from September 1, 2020.According to some reports, it is speculated that local trains in Mumbai, Maharashtra would resume its service from September 1. The train service across India had completely shut down for over two months to avoid the spread of coronavirus. From June 14, 2020, a limited number of suburban trains had started its operations in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

However, as of now, there are no official reports confirming that the Mumbai local trains will resume by September 1.
