A fake notice is being circulated on the imposition of Rs 11,000 fine for violation of Janta Curfew purportedly issued by Delhi Police.

DCP South Delhi had warned the public by tweeting that the notice on the imposition of a fine is fake and hasn’t been issued by them.A notice has been doing rounds on social media which claimed that a fine of Rs 11,000 would be imposed on those who violate the ‘Janata Curfew’, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22 March following the outbreak of coronavirus.

This was dismissed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Delhi who tweeted on 24 March saying that they have spotted a fake notice in the name of Delhi Police. He clarified that they have not issued any such advisory on the imposition of a fine for violation of Janata curfew.
