The Indian side, despite being allegedly outnumbered, fought back bravely to defend their country, as quoted by the family. Surendra Singh's brother is also said to have spoken to the media and shared the telephonic conversation between him and his injured brother. The brother, Reshma Singh also confirmed that the Indian patrol party was unarmed while the Chinese soldiers had rods, barbed wires, canes, and other kinds of weapons.
