The initial supply of 50,000 domestically-manufactured ventilators funded through the PM CARE Fund has started arriving.

Among the 50,0000 Made in India ventilators manufactured under the PM CARE Fund, 1,340 ventilators were supplied to some states and UTs.Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced that the government would give 2000 crore rupees for the supply of 50,000 ventilators to the government COVID-19 hospitals across the country. As of June 23, 2,923 ventilators were manufactured; among them, 1,340 ventilators had been delivered to some of the States and Union Territories. Maharashtra Delhi, Gujarat, Bihar, Karnataka, and Rajasthan were the states that received the ventilators in the initial supply.

Out of the 50000 ventilators, 30,000 ventilators are being manufactured by M/s Bharat Electronics Limited, and the remaining 20,000 ventilators are being manufactured by AgVa Healthcare (10000), AMTZ Basic (5650), AMTZ High End (4000) and Allied Medical (350).
