When four U.S. soldiers died in Niger in 2017, Trump said and did nothing for a week until pressed by the media.

President Trump's history of insensitivity to human sorrow hinders his policy making even during the current pandemic

President Trump's history of insensitivity to human sorrow hinders his policy making even during the current pandemic President Trump has often had trouble connecting with the people in times of sorrow. Especially, when 4 US soldiers in Niger died in the deadliest combat operation during his time in office and at other times like the California Wildfires in 2018. He continues to be a weak "consoler-in-chief" presently with the rising cost to human life and livelihood that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought upon the country. This lack of empathy, and focus on his own re-election agenda, is impacting his policy-making during this time - which could harm the country.
