DGP of Gujarat said that paramilitary forces had called to maintain complete lockdown in Ahmedabad, but there will be no military presence in Mumbai.
Moreover, Uddhav Thackeray Chief Minister of Maharashtra had also denied the deployment of paramilitary forces to manage the situation during the lockdown in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Gujarat's Director General of Police Shivanand Jha said that the Union government has sent five additional companies of paramilitary forces to Ahmedabad on 6 May 2020 to ensure the strict implementation of lockdown measure in the contaminant zones as the city braces for the complete shutdown till 15 May 2020.
Therefore, military forces were called in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, but not in Mumbai during COVID-19 lockdown.
