There is no proper evidence to attribute the statement to BJP MLA Surendra Singh.The Varanasi court, in its order, asked the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to conduct a survey of the Gyanvapi Mosque compound adjacent to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The court gave the order on a petition asking for restoration of the land on which the mosque is situated. This piece of land is claimed to belong to the Hindus. Many people reacted to the court verdict, and some welcomed it. A PTI source was quoted by the India Express stating that BJP MLA Surendra Singh said that the Gyanwapi mosque will be removed and India will become a “Hindu Rashtra” soon.

However, neither did we find any other credible sources which attributed the remark to the MLA, nor could we independently verify the quote made by MLA Surendra Singh. Thus, we cannot currently verify the veracity of this claim.
