South Western Railway's press release proves that 1162 passengers arrived from New Delhi to Bengaluru in the first train to Karnataka after lockdown.On 12 May 2020, South Western Railway announced that total 1162 passengers were booked in New Delhi to Bengaluru as a first special train to be returned after the suspension of passenger train services due to COVID-19. In the return direction, Train No. 02692 with a Superfast AC Express departed from New Delhi at 21:15 hrs and arrived at Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna(KSR) Bengaluru railway station at 06:40 hours, but got delayed by 40 minutes and arrived at 7:15 am on the first day,14 May 2020. It was the first incoming passenger train after 55 days of nationwide lockdown amid COVID-19.
