A man wearing a burka was spotted at the women rally supporting the Taliban.

The viral image claiming that men attended the Pro-Taliban gathering of women is morphed.

The viral image claiming that men attended the Pro-Taliban gathering of women is morphed.Since the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan, many fake stories have been making rounds on social media. One such post purportedly showed a man wearing a burqa with his face uncovered attending a lecture at the Shaheed Rabbani Education University. The photo shows hundreds of Afghan women, fully clad with the burqa, expressing their support holding the Taliban flag. However, we found that the image had been doctored.

Using reverse image search, we found the original photo in the news report published by a local media outlet called Khaama Press. The same photo was also tweeted by Lotfullah Najafizada, Head of TOLO news. We can also see that the background of both the images is the same with the man behind. Comparing the viral image and its original version proves that the image has been edited and posted online.
