The North Korean state news agency reported that Kim Jong Un attended a ceremony marking the completion of Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory on May 1, 2020, at Sunchon, putting an end to such speculations. Images released by state media show him cutting a ribbon to mark the occasion. On June 25, 2020, Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Ri Kyong Gu, a pro-reunification patriotic fighter, on his 90th birthday.
