A statement and tweet by BBMP Mayor confirm that drones are being used to spray disinfectants in public places of Bengaluru city.Mayor M Goutham Kumar on 31 March 2020 has tweeted that, a drone is being used by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palika (BBMP) workers to spray disinfectant and sanitize public places at Nethaji ward-78, Pulikeshinagar of Bengaluru city.

BBMP Mayor on 26 March 2020 had also stated that the Bengaluru civic body is using drones to spray disinfectant in the city.
