It had warned against a rise in maximum temperatures in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha in Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
