Joe Biden has won 306 electoral college votes; Trump has won 232 electoral college votes.President-elect Joe Biden secured 306 electoral college votes, winning the previously Republican states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. He will formally be inaugurated as the next U.S. president in January, when Congress formally counts the state electoral votes.

President Donald Trump secured only 232 votes. He has, so far, refused to accept the results of the elections. He has filed lawsuits in various states, asking for recounts and making false claims of voter fraud. However, election officials have said that the 2020 elections were one of the most secure in recent history.

Biden was only required to meet the 270-vote threshold, meaning that his victory in the U.S. elections is decisive.
