Steam therapy kills coronavirus.

There is no evidence that inhaling steam will cure the novel coronavirus. This claim is baseless.

A message claiming that 'steam therapy' or 'inhaling steam from hot water will kill the coronavirus' has been circulating on social media.

Inhaling steam is a widely used home remedy during any sort of respiratory illness. It helps with their symptoms, such as cough, nasal congestion, and chest congestion.

The World Health Organization (WHO) does not recommend steam therapy as a cure for the coronavirus. It also says that taking a hot shower and exposing oneself to a temperature higher than 25-degree Celcius does not prevent or cure COVID-19. It also states that COVID-19 can be transmitted in areas with a hot and humid climate.

Therefore, the claim that inhaling steam will kill coronavirus is false and baseless.

The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19, including symptoms, prevention, and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organization or your national healthcare authority.
