People in Nepal are protesting against the government for its involvement in the India-China border dispute.

People are protesting against the government's handling of the Covid-19 crisis in Kathmandu, but not over the India-China border dispute.

The youth-led protests on the streets of Kathmandu were due to the government’s response to the Covid-19 crisis. They demanded to see the accounts for Rs 10 billion Nepali currency that the government has spent fighting against the pandemic. Cities like Pokhra, Birgunj, and Nepalgunj have also witnessed protests. Demonstrators defied a nationwide lockdown for several days to demand better testing and quarantine facilities for returning migrant workers.
