Four women delegates out of the 105 also represent American Samoa, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. A record 131 women currently serve in the 116th Congress, with 26 women in the Senate. According to a study titled 'Women in Congress: Statistics and Brief Overview' conducted by the Congressional Research Service that was updated on January 15, 2020, there are 90 Democrats and 15 Republicans in the DWC.
