Actor Tom Hanks passed away at 63.

The news article by India Today and Tom Hanks' Twitter account refutes the claim.

A website called the-daily-star.com published an article on 13 March 2020 stating that the actor Tom Hanks passed away due to coronavirus. However, a deeper analysis of the website revealed that it is a satirical website and all posts on the website are satirical. The article has now been taken down in a few countries. The actor was also active on his twitter and instagram account on March 15, 2020.

Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson tested positive for coronavirus while shooting a movie in Australia. They have since been in self-isolation.
