Mukesh Ambani owns WhatsApp and Facebook.

WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook on February 19, 2014, and they are both owned by Mark Zuckerberg.

A message, claiming that Mukesh Ambani bought WhatsApp has been circulating on social media since 2014. The message claims that WhatsApp was sold to Mukesh Ambani for $19 billion. The message further states that Varun Pulyani’ who claims to be the ‘director of WhatsApp’ sold the messaging platform to Mukesh Ambani. However, this claim is false.

The founder of WhatsApp is Brian Acton, and the co-founder is Jan Koum. Facebook bought WhatsApp for about $19 billion in the year 2014. Meanwhile, the social media website of Facebook was launched by Mark Zuckerberg in February 2004, which grew into a franchise ever since and is headquartered at Menlo Park, California. Even to date, Zuckerberg remains the owner of Facebook and has not sold the company to anyone.
