Hotels, restaurants and resorts all over India will remain closed until 15 October 2020 due to coronavirus pandemic.

A message claiming that the hotels, restaurants and resorts in India would be closed till 15 October 2020 due to COVID-19 is fake.

Press Information Bureau in a tweet on 8 April 2020, clarified that the message being circulated in the name of Tourism Ministry is false.

The Ministry of Tourism in a tweet had also stated that they didn't issue any order regarding the closure of hotels or restaurants and urged the public to refrain from spreading fake news.
