On May 31, 2019, a gunman identified as DeWayne Craddock fired indiscriminately at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center, in the US state of Virginia. He was a disgruntled city employee in Virginia Beach. According to the Washington-based Gun Violence Archive monitoring group, this incident was a 150th mass shooting in the US since the beginning of 2019. At least 12 people died in this mass shooting.
